On the 10th of November 1829 Mr. Müller Mayer Josef (from
Termeno) acquired the mill "above the river", as it was called in Maria Theresa's land register. Since then the mill has been owned by the Mayer family.
An old mill, which was already mentioned in the annals in 1538.
For centuries the grist was provided from the surroundings. Due to the change in the soil culture, the mill was no longer profitable. Due to the unique location of the mill above
Termeno village, renowned for the "Gewürztraminer" white
wine, amidst vineyards and close to the forest, the family decided to convert the mill into a small, but cosy hotel.
The sound of the mill has disappeared; its flair and the romance have however been preserved.
